My name is Alice Packer, Morris, Culver, and I am the broker of Packers Realty.  I was born and raised in the mountains above Idaho City near Elk Creek.  My father was a gold miner for many years and then built a water powered sawmill, cut the trees from our mining claim and raised his four daughters. My first memories are of living in what is known as a tent house with wooden floors & wooden walls, half way up the sides and a tent top. As you may imagine we had no power or running water. It was mighty cold in the winter and hot and stuffy in the summer, but what a wonderful life and that is no doubt why I love the mountains of Idaho so much.  My folks were very religious, so we were not allowed to go to town, where it was full of "evil people" and that is probably why I like to interact with people so much.  I 'escaped' to the city as soon as I was old enough and became a real estate saleslady in Boise in 1967. I completed my Broker's license in 1969.  I have enjoyed the spectacular changes in Idaho in the last 37 years.
